Holloway told Quest TV: '˜If you look at Kenny Jackett's CV, if you look at the jobs he has taken, he's taken big clubs when they are not at their best and he has built them up and built them up.

'˜And he is doing exactly the same again and I am delighted for him.

'˜I'm not surprised, you could see the signs last season and I think they have some fantastic young talent.

'˜Ronan Curtis is a gamble that has paid off and Kenny is getting the best out of him. Along with his assistant Joe Gallen, Kenny is doing a fantastic job.'

Brett Pitman has come back firing after being on the bench earlier in the season.

Holloway thinks the competition for places is a big factor, as well how Jackett handles all the players in his squad from the youngsters to the most senior professionals.

He added: '˜I think someone like Brett Pitman, he's only been a sub most of the time, and young lads are keeping him out.

'˜The kid is prolific'¦ but I know how Ken works, he's a wonderful fella and everything is about enthusiasm and energy, let's make sure we are solid and let's make sure we are tough to beat.'

Holloway was speaking to Quest's Facebook TV show: EFL '“ The Reaction.
