Justin Bennett earned Gosport a point in a 1-1 draw at Stourbridge in the Southern League premier division.
Borough looked to be heading for defeat against their hosts, who were reduced to 10 men in the first half when Paul Lloyd was sent off for violent conduct.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Stourbridge went ahead ten minutes into the second half.
But Gosport’s top-scorer Bennett levelled on 70 minutes to put the visitors level.
And despite Dan Woodward getting his marching orders late on for a second yellow card, Borough held on to come back from the West Midlands with a deserved draw.
In the Wessex League premier division, Moneyfields drew 0-0 at Downton.
The match was ruined by a waterlogged pitch and, in truth, the clash should not have gone ahead.
Moneys dominated but struggled to cope with the tough conditions.
