Bognor get first win in six months

BOGNOR won their first game in six months after running out 2-1 winners against Braintree in the National League South.

Richard Gilot gave the Rocks the lead after three minutes.

The hosts then doubled their lead on 40 minutes when Ollie Pearce lobbed Braintree goalkeeper Nathan McDonald.

On 64 minutes, the visitors got a goal back through Billy Crook.

Meanwhile, in the Southern League east division, Moneyfields were 1-0 winners against AFC Dunstable.

Marley Ridge scored for Moneys at the start of the second half.

Elsewhere, in the Wessex League premier division, AFC Portchester won 1-0 against Andover Town at the Blanchard Wells Stadium.

Nathan Kirby put the Royals ahead on the 23rd minute.

Fareham Town were 2-1 winners at Team Solent after coming from behind.

Robbie Pitman and Callum Laycock got the goals either side of the break after Hisham Kasimu put the hosts ahead.

Petersfield lost 4-1 at Bemerton Health Harlequins.

Horndean’s league game against Alresford was called off.
