Bognor get first win in six months

Richard Gilot gave the Rocks the lead after three minutes.

The hosts then doubled their lead on 40 minutes when Ollie Pearce lobbed Braintree goalkeeper Nathan McDonald.

On 64 minutes, the visitors got a goal back through Billy Crook.

Elsewhere, in the Wessex League premier division, AFC Portchester won 1-0 against Andover Town at the Blanchard Wells Stadium.

Fareham Town were 2-1 winners at Team Solent after coming from behind.
