The home side, however, showed their resilience with Barker’s late winner.

The Hawks slipped into the relegation zone with a 4-2 defeat at Dartford.

Lee Bradbury’s team trailed by two goals at the break but fought back with goals from Dan Strugnell and Matt Paterson.

Dartford finished the stronger, though, with two further goals to increase the Hawks’ away misery.

A second-half Sammy El-Abd goal earned them a crucial point in their play-off bid.

Meanwhile, in the Wessex premier, Horndean remained joint-top after they beat Whitchurch United 2-0 at Five Heads Park.
