A big crowd is expected at Privett Park as Gosport Borough entertain title-chasing AFC Totton in a mouthwatering Zamaretto Southern League south & west derby (3pm).

It promises to be a nerve-wracking last day of the season for the visitors who still need a point to secure the title and automatic promotion.

Stuart Ritchie’s men know local rivals Sholing can overhaul them if they slip-up and nerves will be jangling after their 2-1 home defeat against Mangotsfield at the weekend.

Sholing will fancy their chances of winning at lowly Wimborne and taking advantage of any AFC Totton mistake.

Borough have a formidable home record and will be aiming to end the season on a positive note.

Gosport chairman Mark Hook said: ‘We are looking to end the season on a high by being the party-poopers.

‘It should be a great game but I would advise spectators to arrive in good time as we are expecting one of the biggest gates of the season at Privett Park.’

Borough will be looking to find their form after losing 2-0 away at Bideford on Saturday.
