Lee Bradbury has released Hawks midfielder Perry Ryan, with Eastbourne Borough and Gosport Borough the favourites to snap him up.

In his four years at Westleigh Park, the former Pompey Academy graduate provided a tough-tackling presence in midfield, making 150 appearances in all competitions.

He found himself out of the squad in the second half of last season and Bradbury doesn’t see him as part of his future plans.

‘Perry has been a great servant to the club and you couldn’t fault his attitude every time he played,’ said Bradbury.

‘He is the sort of heart-on-his-sleeve player that needs to be playing all the time.

‘I don’t feel we can offer him that with us next season with the other players we brought in.’
