The Hawks moved to within a point of the Skrill South play off places with a hard-earned 2-0 win over Whitehawk at Westleigh Park.

After a goalless first half the home side took charge with goals from Christian Nanetti and Scott Donnelly.

Lee Bradbury’s team make the long trip to Chelmsford City Saturday (3pm) looking for another win that can propel them into the top five.

Meanwhile, FA Trophy finalists Gosport Borough slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Ebbsfleet United.

Goals in either half from Billy Bricknell and Daryl McMahon mean Alex Pike’s side stay one point above the relegation zone ahead of Saturday’s Privett Park clash with Bishop’s Stortford.
