The Hawks secured a precious point in their battle for Blue Square Bet South survival this evening – drawing 0-0 at fellow-strugglers Bromley.

Chances were few and far between for both sides in a dour affair.

But Hawks striker Ollie Palmer could have snatched all three points in the final five minutes, only to fire his effort over the hosts’ bar.

The draw moves Shaun Gale’s men two points clear of the drop zone.

Elsewhere, Moneyfields stormed to a 3-1 Wessex Premier triumph over Alton Town.

Steve Hutchings and Dan Gauntlett were the hosts’ goalscorers.
