Four goals by Steve Ramsey helped fire the Hawks to a convincing 6-3 win over 10-men Dorchester Town in an incident-packed game at The Avenue.
Ramsey gave the Hawks an easy lead before the home side were reduced to 10 men on 18 minutes for a deliberate hand ball.
Ramsey scored from the spot and added two more after the break.
Ollie Palmer also grabbed a brace as the visitors gained a welcome win which eases their relegation worries.
In the Southern League division one south and west, Gosport beat Yate 4-1 to continue their play-off push. Justin Bennett (2), Steve Claridge and Adam Wilde got the goals.
Meanwhile in the Ryman League division one south, two apiece from Ashley Robinson and Steve Harper saw Bognor to a 4-2 at Godalming to maintain their top spot.
Action in the Wessex League included a 3-0 home win for Moneyfields against Hayling.
