The Hawks have had two bids turned down for Gosport Borough striker Matt Paterson.

The highly-rated former Southampton forward has been attracting interest from Football League clubs after scoring 17 goals for the Privett Park outfit this season.

Paterson has history with the Hawks and spent a month on loan at Westleigh Park last term but failed to score in eight appearances.

But Lee Bradbury is attempting to boost his striking resources and steal a march on other interested parties with a £5,000 offer and a £7,000 offer – both of which have been rejected by chairman Mark Hook.
