The Hawks continued their superb run of form against Boreham Wood, as they came from behind to beat the north London side 2-1 in a top-of-the-table Conference South clash.

Goals from JJ Hooper and Ed Harris at Westleigh Park were enough to overhaul an early Lee Angol penalty and send Lee Bradbury’s men top of the league.

Justin Bennett bagged a hat-trick as Gosport Borough cruised to a 4-0 win over Hemel Hempstead – also in the Conference South.

The club’s record goalscorer struck either side of half-time and then added a late third to take his season’s tally to 12.

Matt Paterson’s strike sealed Borough’s first league win on home turf this season in front of 530 supporters at Privett Park.

In the FA Vase, substitute Jordan Neil scored the only goal of the game as Fareham surprised in-form Petersfield 1-0 at Cams Alders.

Meanwhile, Jamie Musselwhite netted twice as AFC Portchester progressed at the expense of Hamworthy 2-1.

Ten-man Moneyfields, however, were knocked out of the Vase in a seven-goal thriller at Bemerton Heath.

Alfie Rutherford was sent off for Moneys in the 4-3 defeat.

Horndean face a replay after they drew 1-1 after extra-time against Lymington Town.

In the Ryman League premier, Bognor lost 2-1 at home to AFC Hornchurch.
