The Hawks’ National League South derby with Gosport Borough has been postponed.

The Westleigh Park pitch was deemed unplayable due to the heavy rain experienced on the south coast over the past few days.

This is the second match in a row that the Hawks have had to call off, after their game against Bath City on Monday suffered a similar fate.

Lee Bradbury’s side’s last outing was their Boxing Day fixture against Gosport Borough – a game Alex Pike’s outfit won 2-1 at Privett Park.

A new date for the postponed fixture is yet to be decided.

Meanwhile, the weather has also affected non-league club’s match-day plans throughout the region.

Petersfield’s Southern League central division one game with Godalming Town at Love Lane has also been called off.

As has Moneyfields v Sholing, Horndean v Newport IoW and Alresford v AFC Portchester in the Wessex League premier division.

Bognor’s trip to Burgess Hill in the Ryman League has also fallen foul of the weather.
