Steve Hutchings claimed a first-half hat-trick as leaders Moneyfields romped to a 4-0 win at Brockenhurst in the Wessex League premier division on Saturday.
Alfie Rutherford also hit the target in the opening 45 minutes as the Dover Road outfit dominated.
‘It was probably our best team performance of the season,’ said manager Miles Rutherford.
‘All 11 players worked hard for each other and we scored some very good goals.
‘We took our foot off the pedal in the second period but the game was won.’
Hutchings was quick out of the blocks – opening his account after two minutes.
The striker added another with an overhead-kick before Alfie Rutherford rounded the keeper for the third.
Hutchings completed his hat-trick just before the break, although team-mate Tom Chapman also claimed the goal.
Two second-half goals condemned AFC Portchester to a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Winchester City.
The Wicor Rec outfit dominated the first-half but failed to take advantage of their superiority.
Sammy Igoe looked particularly impressive for the Royals who pushed forward without success.
And they were punished after the break as a Craig Hardy own goal and Zach Glasspool strike earned the visitors maximum points.
‘We are paying for lapses of concentration in both boxes,’ said Royals manager Graham Rix.
‘The pitch wasn’t conducive to playing good football and we missed an opportunity.’
Elsewhere, Horndean slipped to a surprise 1-0 defeat at Fawley.
