Ten-man Hawks were denied a crucial win by a last-minute goal in a 1-1 draw against Tonbridge Angels at Westleigh Park this afternoon.

The home side had striker Ollie Palmer sent off midway through the second half.

And they looked to have snatched three points when Christian Nanetti capped a fine home debut with a good goal.

But the Hawks were denied by a terrific Lee Browning strike.

In the Southern League, Gosport Borough’s promotion ambitions were dealt a blow, as they could only pick up a point from their home clash with Clevedon Town.

Goal machine Justin Bennett was the hosts’ scorer in a 1-1 draw.

Bognor maintained their Ryman League division one south title charge with a 3-0 triumph over Hythe.

Harvey Whyte, James Crane and Kane Wills were on target.

In the Wessex League, Steve Hutchings bagged a brace as Moneyfields beat Blackfield & Langley 4-2 at Dover Road.

Fareham Town registered a fine 2-0 victory at Downton, with goals from Wayne Boud and Graham Lindsey.

And Horndean earned a precious point at Winchester City – drawing 0-0 with the league leaders.
