Moneyfields are boosted by the return of some key men for Boxing Day’s Wessex League premier division derby at Horndean (1pm).

Striker Steve Hutchings, Stuart Green and Russell Rackley are all expected to feature.

Horndean have proven they can beat any side in the division on their day.

So Moneys boss Miles Rutherford is preparing for a keenly-fought contest.

‘Boxing Day games are always hard fought and I don’t expect this to be any different,’ said the boss.

‘At this time of year, at our level, it often depends who has been out partying over Christmas.

‘Some players can cope with it but for others it can be a telling factor.

‘I want my players to enjoy Christmas but not too much.

‘Horndean can be dangerous opponents when they are at full strength and they want to play.

‘On their day they are capable of beating most teams in our league and we will need to be at our best.’

Moneys will not learn their FA Vase fate until next month.

They have been fined £200 and warned about their future conduct but do not know yet if the clash with Bitton will be replayed.

AFC Portchester travel to Fareham Town at Cams Alders on Boxing Day (3pm).

Portchester are likely to be without winger Louis Castles because of knee problems but have Nathan Kirby back.

Bognor take on Lewes in Ryman League premier division at Nyewood Lane (3pm).
