The Hawks lost at home for the second time in a week, crashing to a 3-2 Blue Square South defeat to Chelmsford City.

It was a disastrous opening 16 minutes that was ultimately the difference at Westleigh Park, as the visitors stormed into a two-goal lead.

An own goal from Jake Newton was followed up by a Cliff Akurang header to put the Hawks on the back foot.

Steve Ramsey reduced the arrears from the penalty spot seven minutes from time.

But Chelmsford restored their two-goal lead through Sam Cornhill, before Ramsey grabbed a second from the spot.
