Gosport Borough’s National League South campaign began in defeat as they were beaten 3-0 at Maidenhead this afternoon.
The hosts look a strong force at this level and were full value for their win as strike duo Dave Tarpey and Sean Marks found the target after Harry Pritchard’s opener.
Petersfield Town were also beaten on the opening day of the season as they lost 4-1 at Chalfont St Peter in Southern League division one central.
