They stretched their unbeaten run to seven games with an impressive 1-0 win against league leaders Andover Town.

He said: ‘This is one of our games in hand so it is important we make the most of it.

‘We have to see it as another opportunity to make up ground on the teams above us.

‘Earlier in the season we won 1-0 at Hamble Club and are expecting another tough game.

‘We won’t be taking them lightly.

‘Our aim is to keep grinding out the wins and see where it takes us.’

Defender Sam Roberts has joined the club on a month loan from AFC Totton.

Roberts is likely to make his first start after appearing as a substitute at the weekend.

The home side, however, look as though they have lost Garry Moody for a while after he picked up a nasty looking ankle injury.

Fareham Town have their sights set on an end of season cup final as they visit Andover Town in the semi-finals of the Russell Cotes Cup.

Pete Stiles insists his in-form Reds will approach the game in a positive manner as they look to progress.

He said: ‘Andover are a very good side but we have an excellent away record.

‘They have a nice playing surface and that suits us.

‘We will be doing everything we can to make the final.’

Gary Austin is cup-tied but Stiles has a few players back in contention.

Louis Castles, George Davis and Lee McCrombie are all available.
