Fareham crashed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of lowly Brockenhurst in the Wessex League premier division clash at Cams Alders tonight.

The hosts slid three goals behind in the first half as Dave Wakefield, Mark Barker and a Warren Kenna penalty put the Badgers in command.

Fareham keeper Tony Harrop was powerless to stop the onslaught as Kenna then added a fourth late on to complete the job.

Elsewhere, Moneyfields were sunk by a late goal as they went down 3-2 at champions Poole Town.

George Gregory twice equalised for Moneys but Miles Rutherford’s brave men could do nothing about the last-gasp winner.

In division one, Petersfield Town beat Pewsey Vale 1-0 at Love Lane thanks to Callum Coker’s penalty.

The result means Horndean will be playing premier division football next season as Vale can no longer catch them for the second promotion position behind Downton.

Meanwhile, in the Hampshire Premier League senior division a James Crowford hat-trick earned Paulsgrove a 3-0 win at Otterbourne.

Fleetlands ran out 5-2 winners at QK Southampton with an Ash Tattersall hat-trick sandwiched between goals from Mark Wheeler and Chris Cunningham.

The clash between Liss and the University of Portsmouth was postponed.
