United Services bounced back from their FA Vase exit with a 5-0 Wessex League division one win over New Milton Town at Burnaby Road.
The Sailors went down 6-0 to Sholing in the knockout competition last week.
But they showed few ill effects at the Victory Stadium on Saturday.
‘It was pleasing to see us make the perfect response after the disappointment in midweek,’ said Sailors boss Bob Brady.
‘The performance might not have been brilliant but we were positive from the start.’
The home side raced into a 4-0 lead at the break.
Goals from Pete Lines, Mark Robinson and Connor Duffin – along with an own goal – put Services in complete control.
Robinson the added the Sailors’ only goal in the second half to double his own tally and hammer home his side’s dominance.
