Gosport Borough booked their place in the next round of the Russell Cotes Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Fleet.

Alex Pike’s side set up a quarter-final date with Winchester City at Privett Park thanks to goals from Liam Sewell, Liam Robinson and Nathan Lynch.

Sewell, on loan from the Hawks, opened the scoring on 10 minutes, before having two penalty appeals turned down.

This kept Ryman League Fleet in the game, but their hopes ended when Robinson added a second midway through the second half.

And to rub salt into the home team’s wounds, Lynch added a third with 15 minutes of play remaining to secure a well-deserved away win.
