Paul O'Rielly's high-fliers recorded a 10-0 triumph to keep them a point clear of Denmead at the top with four games in hand.

Moneys have been rampant all season, winning 12 and drawing the other of their 13 league matches.

They are still in with a chance of completing the double this season, with a Hampshire Senior Trophy semi-final against Brading Town to look forward to at the end of this month.

The goals netted on AFC Petersfield’s 3G surface took Moneys’ seasonal tally to 84 in all competitions.

And with at least 10 matches still to play, they look set to break the 100 barrier.

‘We did well (at AFC Petersfield),' said O'Rielly.

‘It kind of suited us on the day.

‘We just got the ball down and played with the bad weather.

‘They couldn’t live with us. We kept the ball away from them and were quite lethal in front of goal.

‘Fingers crossed we can keep the goalscoring up.

‘I’d like to think so (scoring 100 plus goals).

‘We’re still just trying to win the league and get as many points as we can.

‘If we can guarantee ourselves promotion, that’s the main thing.'

Dan Penfold took his seasonal tally to 28 with four goals while recent signing Ilyas Warshow grabbed a hat-trick.

The former Andover New Street player was making his reserve debut having come on as a sub in the first team’s two previous Southern League matches.

Lamin Jatta - normally a sub for the first team - struck twice and Harvey Cooper got in on the act as well as Moneys ran riot.

Now O'Reilly is eager for his team to win promotion, as the club’s aim is to have their second team playing in the Wessex League Premier Division within a few seasons.

‘It’s in our hands, which is good,’ he added.

‘It’s just about keeping the lads motivated, keeping them playing for the positions and keeping going.'
