Boss Kenny Jackett isn't concerned by Keith Millen's inside track of Pompey.

The Blues travel to MK Dons tomorrow, with Millen recently being appointed Dan Micciche’s assistant manager following the sacking of former boss Robbie Neilson.

Beforehand, the 51-year-old was working under Jackett in a scouting capacity at Fratton Park.

It was his role to analyse footage of upcoming opponents.

Millen has a good knowledge of Pompey’s players and revealed he’ll be using that advantage to engineer a Dons victory.

However, Jackett believes it is a trait that is ‘over-rated.’

And the Blues manager won’t be changing his approach to try to outfox the former Bristol City boss.

‘Keith did our match reports so he spent the first half of the season watching our next opponent,’ said Jackett.

‘That was his job and then he’d maybe come down to feed that information into us.

‘Going into the job at MK Dons, you would think he is very knowledgeable about the whole division.

‘When you’re doing that job, I’d think by halfway through the season you’ve watched every team.

‘I don’t think it does (change how we set up).

‘We all know plenty about each other.

‘He would know the whole division pretty well when he was here doing the match reports.

‘I think it’s a little bit over-rated (the inside track) knowing the other team.’

Jackett isn’t dwelling on Millen’s role because he can estimate how MK Dons will set up.

The Fratton Park manager usually gets the majority of the opponent’s team right when predicting their line-up.

But he revealed the best sides are able to still find a way through, no matter how much the opposition has prepared.

Jackett added: ‘With the best sides, you know exactly how they will line up before the game, you know who is going to score and you still can’t stop them.

‘They’re the best team. You can equate that in the Premier League.

‘We would all be able to estimate someone’s best team – all of us.

‘I’ve been doing it a long time and most weeks I get at least 10 of the opposition players, some weeks 11 of the opposition.

‘You can guess the opposition and pinpoint their dangers, but actually stopping them is a different matter.’
