'We had one heck of a day getting there, spending nearly eight hours on the coach,' he said.

'There was a crash, we got stuck in traffic and didn't make any of our food points.

'In the game I can honestly say that I have never experienced officiating like it.

'It was disgraceful.

'In the first half we were decent, led 1-0 and it could easily have been three or four.

'For their first goal our goalkeeper had the ball in his hands and for their second we conceded the most ridiculous penalty ever when their player ran into the back of our defender.

'All credit to the players, though, because they dug in and in the end we got the result we deserved.'

After a long journey, Borough also endured a further half-hour delay to the kick-off as the referee was delayed by traffic problems.

When the tie eventually started, Borough made a strong start and were rewarded with a 12th minute opener from Elliott Charles.

Borough regained the lead on 65 minutes when Eoin Teggart delivered a cross for Tarbuck to head in at the near post.

The home side looked to hit back immediately and O'Flaherty needed to pull off a good save from a corner.
