Patrick Agyemang has an outside chance of making his Pompey return tomorrow night.
The influential Blues striker has been missing with a thigh strain since the defeat at AFC Wimbledon but may recover in time for the home clash with Wycombe.
And Simon Ferry could also be fit enough to feature.
Caretaker boss Andy Awford said: ‘Pat has got a very slim chance of being involved.
‘If he comes through training today, there is a possibility.
‘Pat was great for us last season when I worked with the first team.
‘I know him, I know what he gives you and what you can get out of him. The crowd love him and it would certainly give us a lift if he was available.
‘Simon Ferry is in the same position but Thery Racon is probably a couple of days behind.
‘Ferry and Agyemang are the two that could possibly be involved.’
