Michael Appleton has been priced at 12/1 to become the next West Brom boss.
The Pompey manager has emerged as a leading contender to succeed Roy Hodgson, who is being lined up by the FA to take the England helm.
However, Chris Hughton (5/1), Roberto Martinez and Steve Bruce (both 6/1) head the market.
Appleton was appointed first-team coach at The Hawthorns in the summer of 2009.
He assisted Roberto Di Matteo before working as Hodgson’s number two at the Premier League club.
Appleton was highly-regarded by the Baggies and was expected to succeed Hodgson before moving to Fratton Park in November.
He has, however, made no secret of his determination to stay put and complete the job at Pompey and play a major role in the club’s rebirth.
