Have your say

Michael Appleton had no complaints with his men after they fell out of the FA Cup today.

The Blues went down to a 4-0 loss to Chelsea in the third round at Stamford Bridge.

But that scoreline didn’t tell the story of the game as Appleton’s men pushed the Londoners all the way.

It was three goals in the final seven minutes which really did the damage after Chelsea took the lead with a disputed opener two minutes after the restart.

Appleton praised the endeavour of his men, however.

He said: ‘The lads gave their all today.

‘I can’t fault them for that.

‘In the end, the scoreline was a bit harsh.

‘They scored a few at the end after we made a few subs to try to get back into the game.

‘But we gave it a real go.’
