Pompey 0 Blackpool 2: they said what?

Have your say

Pompey administrator Trevor Birch has rubbished rumours on the internet that a Canadian billionaire is considering buying the stricken club.

Twitter had gone wild with speculation retail developer Mitchell Goldhar, who already owns Israel’s most successful football club Maccabi Tel Aviv, had spoken to Mr Birch about the plans.

But when asked about the rumours by The News Mr Birch completely denied even knowing Mr Goldhar.

He said: ‘I’ve never heard of him. It’s untrue.’

Administrators are still trying to find a buyer for the club.
