Conor Chaplin’s long-anticipated switch to Coventry has been completed.
As revealed by The News last night, the striker was today scheduled for Ricoh Arena medical as the move reached conclusion.
The agreement sees him join the Sky Blues on loan until January, before made permanent for an undisclosed fee.
However, it is understood the figure is £500,000, with Coventry fighting off late interest from Barnsley to recruit the 21-year-old.
Chaplin was a popular figure at Fratton Park, scoring 25 times in 122 appearances.
However, he had fallen out of Kenny Jackett’s first-team reckoning, featuring for just 24 minutes this season.
