Matt Clarke has signed a new Pompey contact.
The Blues have agreed extended terms for the defender, which ties him to the club until the summer of 2020.
That represents excellent news with the 21-year-old arguably Pompey’s prized asset.
Clarke signed a three-year deal when arriving at Fratton Park, as part of the deal which took Adam Webster to Ipswich in 2016.
The centre-half scored on his 100th appearance against MK Dons last Saturday, and has indicated he’s in no rush to leave Pompey.
