David Connolly has today left Pompey by mutual consent.

The veteran striker has been out-of-favour under Andy Awford and not played a match this season.

His on-going absence has often been questioned by supporters with their side struggling to score goals.

Now an agreement has been reached to cancel his contract, which was scheduled to expire this summer.

Connolly scored 12 goals in 38 appearances for the Blues.
