STEVE Cotterill felt Pompey could have taken all three points from their clash with Leeds if they’d made their first-half superiority pay.

The Blues boss saw his men turn in a fine first 45 minutes to lead 1-0 at the break.

But Leeds blazed back in the second period as Luciano Becchio cancelled out Joel Ward’s opener, before John Utaka put Pompey ahead again, only for Davide Sommma to net the equaliser in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Cotterill said: ‘One thing’s for sure, we certainly haven’t been low on entertainment this season.

‘It was another good game against Leeds. They have certainly played their part.

‘I thought our first-half performance was certainly good enough to go in more than one goal up. We were a bit disappointed that we didn’t get that second goal - it would have killed the game.

‘I think we would have scored more if we’d got 2-0 up.

‘It was a really good game. We conceded our normal two goals and we scored our normal two goals.’
