Have your say

Steve Cotterill felt Pompey did enough to edge a win over Cardiff.

But the Blues boss admitted his men looked ‘lethargic’ as they grabbed a 1-1 draw today.

Pompey had plenty of chances, including two efforts which were cleared off the line in quick succession after the break.

Cotterill stated it was inconclusive whether the ball crossed the line - even after seeing replays.

He said: ‘I thought we were a little bit lethargic at times.

‘The tempo was better in the second half, and, on chances, we should have won the game.

‘It wasn’t meant to be, though.

‘I didn’t have a view of the incidents and they are not conclusive when you see them bacK.

‘You have to say they were two fantastic blocks.’

Erik Huseklepp made his Pompey bow before being taken off around the hour mark.

He was on the periphery of the game after starting up top, and was then moved to the left after the break.

Cotterill said: ‘The new boy was average, but he needs time.’
