STEVE Cotterill saw both sides of his Pompey troops after their battling fightback to earn a 3-3 draw at Leeds.

The Blues boss lamented his side's opening to the clash as they fell 2-0 behind inside 10 minutes.

But a spirited fightback saw Pompey hit back and gain a late share of the spoils as goals from David Nugent, Richard Hughes and a stoppage-time Andy O'Brien own goal secured a point.

Cotterill said: 'We knew Leeds would come out of the blocks sharply. Everything that they did, we talked about before the game.

'I don't want to say that they didn't listen. But they didn't listen!

'On the flip side of that, we have to be really pleased with the character of our lads to fight back.

'We deserved to come out of that game with at least a draw and we could have won the game at the end.

'We have to be pleased with that result coming to a club like this.'
