Amine Linganzi is not expected to feature in tomorrow night’s trip to Crawley.
The midfielder has ‘fatigue’, according to boss Paul Cook, following a busy fixture schedule upon his return to the starting line-up.
Linganzi was taken off after 50 minutes against Crewe and is not expected to be risked.
That would put Danny Rose in the frame, although Stanley Aborah could come into contention, even handed a place on the bench.
The Blues looked lethargic in Saturday’s defeat so Jamal Lowe, Conor Chaplin and Carl Baker could be attacking options to start.
Meanwhile, Red Devils boss Dermot Drummy may opt to retain the side which pulled off an excellent draw with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Crawley held the league leaders to a very creditable 0-0 scoreline at the Broadfield Stadium.
Drummy is assessing his squad ahead of tonight’s match, yet there does not appear to be any fresh injury problems.
Jordan Roberts (hamstring) and Matt Harrold (Achilles) will once again sit out the match.
Definitely starting will be former Pompey triallist Glenn Morris, who will keep his place in goal.
