Pompey have earmarked a date for Dion Donohue’s return to first-team action.
The former Chesterfield man has yet to feature for Kenny Jackett’s men this season because of illness and injury.
However, he is now approaching a week back in full training during a comeback from a hamstring problem.
And the Blues boss is eyeing Tuesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy trip to Crawley as an opportunity for Donohue’s maiden appearance this term.
Jackett said: ‘Donohue is perhaps looking at the Checkatrade at some point.
‘A week to 10 days training is ideal, I think next week will be okay with him.’
