Have your say

Pompey are still waiting to hear from Hermann Hreidarsson over his Fratton future.

The Blues have underlined their desire to have the fans’ favourite return next season.

But they have stressed they need to know whether the Iceland international is keen to sign a new deal quickly.

Pompey have sent a proposal to the players’ agent, who has intimated the 36-year-old is weighing up the offer.

They are waiting for the club’s proposed takeover by the Convers Sports Initiatives group to be sorted before making signings.

But chief executive David Lampitt explained Steve Cotterill needs to know what his intentions are and have the deals in place.

Lampitt said: ‘Hermann and his agent are obviously considering the offer we’ve made.

‘It’s with them and he is taking his time to look at that. He is a player we would definitely like to have around next season.

‘We would like the situation resolved as soon as possible for his benefit and for our benefit.’
