THE new owners of Pompey must have the club’s interests at heart, according to fans.

Andrew Andronikou, joint-administrator of the club’s parent company Convers Sports Initiatives, said a new owner could take over the club in three weeks.

Colin Farmery, editor of online fanzine True Blue Army, said the fans want to see stability at the club as soon as possible.

He said: ‘It’s in everyone’s interests for this to be resolved quickly.

‘We need to make sure the next owner coming in moves the club forward in the right way. If Andrew Andronikou can deliver that person, no one will be happier than me.’

Bill Gillon, of Pompey Online, said: ‘We hope it’s someone with the club’s best interests at heart and not leave us in the turmoil of the last couple of months.’

Bob Beech, of SOS Pompey, added: ‘I hope we have got someone lined up – not just an owner but one with the club at heart and will go through things in the right way.’
