The former vice chairman of Pompey Supporters’ Trust has stepped down.

Tom Dearie announced his resignation on Tuesday after more than two years on the Trust’s board.

In addition to his Trust duties, Dearie has also been one of the driving forces behind the hugely-successful Pompey Fans’ Days.

While he was the central organiser for two Pompey charity cycle rides: Ride To Bury and York 2 Pompey.

It was announced in October that Pam Wilkins had taken on the vice chairperson role previously filled by Dearie.

In a statement, Dearie said: ‘I am no longer able to devote the time required to my position, so feel it is the right thing to stand down.

‘I am very proud of everything the PST has achieved and wish everyone involved the best of luck going forward.’

The Trust added: ‘The PST board would like to place on record our thanks to Tom for all his hard work and wish him well in the future.’
