The winger endured a frustrating time during his one-and-half seasons at Fratton Park.

After arriving from Walsall in July 2015, Lalkovic struggled to nail down a regular starting spot during his maiden campaign under Paul Cook.

The former Chelsea man made 16 appearances during the first half of 2015-16, before he was sent out to Ross County on loan in the January.

Last campaign, Lalkovic made significantly fewer appearances for Pompey after Kenny Jackett took the Fratton Park hot seat.

The Slovakian was dogged by Achilles problems, featuring only twice.

That resulted in him leaving by mutual consent on deadline day of the January transfer window.

Lalkovic failed to find a new club during the second half of last term, as he continued to work up to full fitness.

However, the 25-year-old is back in match action and is currently training with Czech top-flight outfit SK Sigma Olomouc.

Lalkovic featured for the club's under-21s in their victory over Slovacko earlier this week as he attempts to win a permanent deal.
