Pompey fan Rich Cooksley, aged 31, from Stevenage, gives his verdict ahead of tonight’s trip to Peterborough.

Finally we’re starting to see what Kenny Jackett’s side should be like and I certainly hope Danny Rose remains in the side.

For me, he is our best central midfielder and has shown in the past couple of games he is more than capable of meeting the demands of League One.

I never expected us to be at the top of the table this season. Any supporter that believed we would be in the top three or top four – well I don’t want to use the word deluded, but they must be wishing things that can’t always happen!

I’m happy where we are. We’re a couple of points away from the play-offs and there are some huge teams in this league.

Peterborough are like us, looking at their form.

They stuffed Tranmere 5-0 in the FA Cup and then lost 1-0 at home to Blackpool, so they are inconsistent.

My gut says we’ll win, but my head predicts a draw.

I can see us sticking to the same starting XI as Southend.

However I would consider putting Matty Kennedy in for Kyle Bennett. I wasn’t there on Saturday but it sounds like he probably did enough to warrant a starting place.

People moan about the Checkatrade Trophy, but I think that win at Charlton could be making of where this season is going. A fifth successive defeat would have been a real issue in the players’ morale.

The fact we then won at Blackpool has shown the importance of that.

Rich’s starting line-up: McGee, Evans, Burgess, Hawkins, Clarke, Rose, Close, Lowe, Bennett, Naismith, Pitman.
