Guy Whittingham is adamant Pompey deserved more after falling to defeat to Scunthorpe.
The Blues suffered a 2-1 loss today – their fourth in a row – as they slump to 18th in the League Two table.
David Syers netted twice for the managerless visitors after Tom Craddock had earlier given Whittingham’s side the lead.
But the Pompey boss thought his team should have got at least a point from the fixture.
He said: ‘With a bit of luck, we could have got something out of the game.
‘It didn’t fall for us, we hit the post and the bar.
‘I think their keeper made the best save of the game – although I agree Trevor Carson made some saves.
‘Going forward, we look good. Defensively, we don’t look so good. That is the easy way to sum it up.
‘I think we played well on the ball, I don’t think we played badly on the ball.
‘We looked as if we could score, which is the good thing from today. It’s the other end we have got to get right.’
