Greg Halford believes Pompey’s squad are in unchartered territory as they wait to hear about their futures.

And the Blues defender has suggested the club have appointed an agent to help speed up player sales.

Halford admits he and the rest of his team-mates are in limbo as they wait to hear what lies ahead for them.

Administrator Trevor Birch has today confirmed he expects the wait over players exits to continue towards the end of the summer.

There have been no firm bids for any more of Pompey’s squad, despite constant speculation and a host of clubs being linked with moves for members of Michael Appleton’s squad.

Halford is one of those men, with the likes of Leeds, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest being touted with a bid for the 27-year-old.

But he admits uncertainty is a dominating factor as players wait to hear what lies ahead.

Halford said: ‘It’s tough at the minute and a new situation to all of us.

‘Our agents are involved and the club has appointed an agent to get everyone’s name out to other clubs.

‘There’s so many things which could happen and we are all looking into it. There’s so many permutations.’
