England have named their squad for the Women’s World Cup qualifier against Turkey at Fratton Park on Thursday, September 26 (7.05pm).

Caretaker manager Brent Hills has handed a maiden call-up to Arsenal striker Danielle Carter.

However, Kelly Smith misses out through injury with the ladies also taking on Belarus at Dean Court on Saturday, September 21 as they start out on the road to Canada 2015.

Pompey’s engagement manager Micah Hall has spoken of his delight at international football returning to Fratton Park.

He said: ‘We are honoured and delighted to be hosting this Women’s World Cup qualifier here at Pompey.

‘We have had a fantastic turn out when England Women have played here.

‘And we are hoping that once again Portsmouth and football fans across the south, will come and join us for this prestigious event.’
