Pompey Academy coach Mikey Harris has called for more of the same from his side as they travel to Exeter this Saturday.

Normal service resumes for the Blues’ youngsters following their FA Youth Cup victory over Met Police as they return to Youth Alliance League south west division action (11.30am).

And Harris knows exactly what to expect from a Grecians side they have impressively beaten 4-2 and 3-1 this season.

He said: ‘We always have decent games with Exeter – they have a great Academy set-up and a strong youth team.

‘Exeter try to play in the right way and we always have a good football game with them – I am sure Saturday will be no different.

‘They are coming off the back of a great win in the FA Youth Cup over MK Dons and will be full of confidence.’

Meanwhile, Pompey are still in discussions with Newcastle United as to when their FA Youth Cup third-round tie will take place.

The Blues have been drawn at home to the Magpies, after beating Met Police and Eastleigh in successive Fratton Park outings.
