Hermann Hreidarsson has completed his move to Coventry City.
The Sky Blues have confirmed the veteran defender has signed until the end of the season.
Hreidarsson established himself as a cult figure at Fratton Park after joining Pompey in the summer of 2007.
He made 123 appearances, scoring eight times, and was part of the 2008 FA Cup-winning side.
Yet the Iceland defender has not featured since playing the opening two matches of this season and Michael Appleton deemed him surplus to requirements.
The Pompey boss expects the 37-year-old’s exit to enable him to bring in a new player on loan.
