The duo limped out of the Blues' 3-1 defeat at Southend on Saturday with hamstring injuries.

Evans celebrated his first league goal of the season at Roots Hall on 36 minutes, but was substituted immediately afterwards with the complaint.

Captain Pitman suffered a similar injury in the second half and was replaced by Oli Hawkins.

Pompey boss Kenny Jackett also lost winger Matty Kennedy (ankle) prior to kick-off.

However, the on-loan Cardiff winner is expected to be fit for tomorrow nights visit to Fleetwood.
