Josh Sweetman, 23, from Fratton, gives his verdict on Pompey’s 2-2 FA Cup draw at Ipswich Town

What are your thoughts on that then?

Only one team deserved to win that, you would never have guessed it was a League Two side against one from the Championship.

Our use of the ball and the way we went forward was superb, we went out and gave it our best shot.

We would have taken a draw before the game, but coming away from Portman Road it felt like a loss.

I genuinely think we can beat them at Fratton Park, though. My mate is an Ipswich fan and he reckons Mick McCarthy will stick with the kids as he is not a huge fan of the competition.

If we play like we did on Saturday we will have no problems.

So what are you thoughts on the Brian Murphy moment?

I’d rather not talk about it to be honest!

Murphy got underneath the ball and as soon as Luke Chambers realised that he dropped off mid-flight.

He actually made a couple of very good saves, in particular the one before the first goal and another late in the second half.

Keepers make mistakes and generally get away with it, but with him it always leads to an important goal.

He is almost becoming a liability and whenever the ball comes near him it strikes you with fear.

His errors are coming too often now.

With Paul Jones still injured that is a position we desperately need to strengthen.

He may have 10 clean sheets but in those games I can only remember one or two saves being required.

Who was your man of the match?

It’s a hard one to pick, but Ben Close just shades it ahead of Adam Barton.

His use of the ball was outstanding and he stood out against Championship midfielders like Cole Skuse who play week in, week out.

As for Barton, for someone not a centre half he was outstanding.

I’m a huge fan of Close. Danny Hollands has come into his own during the last couple of weeks but is very similar to Michael Doyle. Whereas Close could work well with Doyle, especially at home.

An excellent performance from those 2,494 travelling fans.

It was fantastic. I thought Ipswich’s home support was awful, probably one of the worst I have ever come across. We only heard them when they scored!

At one point in the first half we were giving it the ‘ole’s’ because we were playing so well.

Mind you, I was struggling with my voice the day after!
