Pompey boss Kenny Jackett believes Harry Redknapp has his own reasons for heading into the Australian jungle.
And he has revealed his admiration for the former Pompey manager.
Redknapp, who led the Blues to FA Cup glory in 2008, has been announced as one of 10 celebrities to star on I'm A Celebrity, which starts on Sunday.
The former Pompey manager has been without a job since leaving Birmingham City last year and is now set to try something a little different.
But for Jackett the celebrity antics on the show will be no distraction from his Pompey promotion mission.
He said: 'Harry has his own reasons, each to his own, who knows what they are.
'In terms of myself, it's not something I focus on.
'It's not a show I watch.
'I don't think I'll be catching up on it.
'But generally I think there'll be a lot of talk and conversation about it because it's a popular show.'
Blues boss Jackett is full of admiration for Redknapp who has helped him out previously.
He added: 'Harry Redknapp has always been good to me.
'He's a very established manager for many, many years.
'I came across him a little bit when I was manager of Millwall, I think he was at Spurs at the time - and maybe West Ham before that - but definitely Spurs.
'There were times where we took some loans from him.
'Harry is a very, very good guy.
'His assistant Kevin Bond is doing some scouting work for us now on a Saturday.'
