But, again, we come back to fine margins.

The loss was similar to the Southend defeat in lot a ways.

Pompey had a couple of opportunities early on and didn’t take them, while Blackpool finished their third chance via a mistake.

We’re not really firing on all cylinders up front or at the back at the moment and confidence has taken a bit of a dip.

We weren’t played off the park by Blackpool by any stretch of the imagination.

We had chances and it’s frustrating we are the masters of our own downfall.

Some people have their feelings about supporters who decided to leave early.

But, at the end of the day, they’ve paid their money and are entitled to show their feelings in whatever way they want within reason.

Nevertheless, the fans will be back and will get behind the boys.

Let’s remember we currently have got an injury crisis.

To use a Harry Redknapp term, we’re down to the bare bones and the next few games will be ones that test the lads who are fit and able to pull on a shirt.

We have got to rally together – which is something this club and supporters do best – and really pull through this period before the more senior players return.

I think people forget how bad the injury list is at the moment.

Some might say we didn’t invest enough in the January transfer window.

Doing that is all well and good, but the players who would have been targeted were not being allowed to leave their club.

As a result, you’re left with not a lot of options.

Should we have brought in players for the sake of it?

Hindsight is always great but we have young lads who have been given an opportunity and now it’s up to them to take it.

No-one will be more disappointed than the boys themselves.

They’re a bit inconsistent at the moment and need to improve at both ends.

Give Blackpool their due, they didn’t allow Adam May much time on the ball as at Fleetwood and he couldn’t be as receptive on the ball.

But he will learn he’ll need to move the ball a bit quicker.

The lads will want to put it right at Bradford and will be eager to do that.

Our best player on the day was probably Jamal Lowe.

He had a chance in the second half but couldn’t hit the target.

On Saturday, we’ve got to make sure we starting putting the chances away.
